Abstract

This research paper is based on and IOT system which will benefit the industry in many ways and is highly customizable according to industries requirements. This IOT based system uses basic IOT components to make an highly efficient system which helps us to identify the available stock of certain products which are displayed on racks in supermarkets or in hospitals where the stock of frequently used medicines is kept. The system has a simple working , it indicates us continuously about the available stock of products and once the stocks available reaches the level where it should be re-stocked the system gives us an alert in form of sound and red light warning indicating that a particular product is about to finish and we need to re-stock it as soon as possible.  This system helps us in many ways like it helps to reduce labor required to make stock reports of available stock, it also reduces the error that can occur by human while making stock report. Another benefit of this system is that , if this system is paired with mobile apps or to any cloud server, one can remotely monitor the stock available, this will be appreciated by store managers and business owners because they do not need to be in place to have a look of stock available. Also this system can be paired with lcd panels which will display the names of the products displayed on racks so that the peoples working on stock room can easily read and re-stock the products. Also for industries where one need to deal with products in large quantity and number of products matters less and the weight of the products matters more ,so where one need to deal in weight of the product this system can made using weight sensors so that it becomes easy with large and heavy items. So this system is an very efficient and has a wide application and is highly customizable according to our use, though this system requires a huge initial investment and a bit of maintenance but it justifies its cost as the labor is reduced and overall system becomes efficient and the way in which this system reduces our work is just amazing and in today’s growing world of internet this system surely has a huge potential to be used in our day-to-day life very efficiently.
